Is Stellas a registered bank?

Yes, we are licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Our registration number is RC

How will I put money in my Stellas account?

You can transfer money to your Stellas account from any Nigerian bank with a bank app or through internet banking.

You can also add money to your account with most debit or credit cards. Tap Add Money on your Stellas dashboard and choose the Add By Card option.

Is there a minimum balance?

No, we don't have a minimum account balance.

What should I do if I need help?

You can send an email to help@stellasbank.com or call 09087339788 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on weekdays.

Account Security

Is my money safe with Stellas?

Yes, your money is safe with us. We secure all accounts with the same high-security encryption used by regular banks.

For extra protection, we insure every deposit you make into your Stellas account.

How do I reset my Stellas PIN?

If you do not remember your PIN, please exit the app. Restart the app, select 'Forgot PIN' and enter the requested personal details in order to reset your PIN.

Why do you need my BVN?

We ask you to confirm your BVN so we can be sure no one is pretending to be you.

When you confirm your BVN, we match your details with the information on the national BVN database owned by the Central Bank.

We won’t use your BVN to access your other bank account(s).

I don't know my BVN. What should I do?

Just dial *565*0#.

Please note: This will only work if you are making the request from the same phone number currently linked to your bank account.

Why request for my ID card?

This is to enable us to further verify the information you provided us with during registration.

Why reject my ID card?

Your ID card can be rejected if:

An ID card with name, date of birth, and ID number mismatch is provided.

The ID card is expired.

An Invalid ID card such as old national ID and temporary voters card is provided.

The ID card is verified by the web host providers, not Stellas. If they are unable to validate the details provided, Stellas is unable to verify the information provided

If the new cards have not been updated by the web host providers, it means the cards cannot be authenticated.

Acceptable ID cards.

We only accept valid government-approved identification cards and this includes:

Permanent drivers license

Permanent voters card (PVC)

National ID card, plastic, and slip (NIMC)

International Passport
